Rochester, NY, February 20, 2009 — ITT Corporation today has received five Modern Day Technology Leader Awards at the Black Engineer of the Year Award (BEYA) Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Four of the five ITT recipients - Derrick Campbell, Bruce Elliott, Darius Fennell and William Reynolds - are all employees of ITT Space Systems Division. The contributions from these individuals at ITT Space Systems Division have included significant work on signal and image processing, remote sensing, wavelet-based technologies, target tracking and motion trajectory classification. The award recipients will be formally acknowledged with a certificate of recognition during the Modern Day Technology Leadership Luncheon at the conference. For more than 23 years, the BEYA conference has recognized the contributions of minorities in the engineering, science and technology arenas.
