Professional Internship Program
ITT Benefits Offered Participants in the Professional Internship Program:  Challenging work assignment in ITT Space Systems Division, a leading supplier of high-resolution satellite imaging systems and information services. Competitive Salary based on discipline and education level Travel expenses (round trip from school or home city to Rochester, NY, Ft. Wayne, IN, Vienna, VA or Clifton, NJ) Assistance with locating housing Mentoring Student Activities Sophisticated meteorological imagers and sounders used to track severe weather patterns for both commercial and military applications. Payload systems and components that have been part of every U.S. GPS navigation system ever launched. Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) imaging systems that collect images and related information critical to our national security. Image information services that provide productivity enhancements to help analysts generate, visualize, utilize and disseminate that information. Leading software technologies that provide data visualization, image processing and data analysis capabilities. Commercial remote sensing and systems that provide high quality imagery information for a variety of applications from municipal planning and development to environmental monitoring. Space science systems that provide scientists and researchers with imagery and data necessary to understand our universe.Salary is commensurate with educational level and experience. Travel Expenses: Recommend that out-of-town students receive: Reimbursement for travel expenses incurred to and from the location of the internship position (Rochester, NY, Ft. Wayne, IN, Vienna, VA or Clifton, NJ).
We will offer assistance in locating housing for the time that the intern is working at ITT. Mentoring: The hiring department will be required to assign a mentor to a student entering their department through the Profession Internship Program. This will help to enhance the program for the student and make it a more enriching experience. Student Activities: The following activities have been planned: Professional Internship Program Kickoff Mid-assignment gathering Local Baseball or Soccer Game Meet Managers/Hiring Managers Luncheon Lunch and Learn Meetings Tours Students must work a minimum of a 10-week work block, but not in excess of a nine-month work-block. Student must have completed their freshman year and be enrolled in a full-time degree program. If student has been granted a Bachelor's degree, then that graduate must be enrolled in a Masters program and intending to start that program within nine months. Student must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale). Student must be a U.S. citizen. A drug screen and undergoing a background investigation are conditions of employment. |
