ITT Image System Analysis Services and Capabilities

Image System Analysis was developed and honed over three decades by ITT Space Systems Division for U.S. Government customers. Now available to the commercial sector, the process makes use of once-proprietary analysis tools to measure and define image quality for designers and builders of remote sensing payloads. Among these tools is the National Image Interpretability Rating scale (NIIRS). Devised specifically for remote sensing applications, NIIRS quantifies the quality of an image. The scale augments other measurement techniques, such as ground sample distance, signal-to-noise ratio, modulation transfer function and others.
ITT is considered the final authority on end-to-end image system quality by a large number of government and intelligence community programs. We have worked with national imaging programs and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Successful system development for these and many other programs depends on a complete knowledge of the interactions of the many variables in the image system.
